Mrittika Upanishad
(The Soil or The Earth Upanishad) :
By: Narendra parashar,
Kathmandu, Nepal
O earth, ! ’tis thee the store of creation, I bow before thee.
O earth ! thou hast borne hurts a lot, I bow before thee.
O earth ! thou hast laid the foundation for life, I bow before thee.
Earth, thou ingesth water all
Earth, thou ingesth minerals all
Earth, thou ingesth wind all
Earth, thou ingesth microbes all
Earth, thou art worth- appreciatin, prostrate I unto thee.
Hey earth, unfolding the seed, ’tis by thee.
Hey earth, going to ground the root, ’tis by thee.
Hey earth, providing water and food to plant, ’tis by thee.
Hey earth, the magnanimous-’tis thee.
Hey earth, the delicate – ’tis thee.
Hey earth, the comely – ’tis thee.
’tis thee, earth, eternal who art
’tis thee, earth, ancient who art.
’tis thee, earth, sacred who art
’tis thee, earth, queer who art.
O earth ! Lots of hardships sake plant, do thou tolerateth.
O earth ! Lots of hardships sake creature, do thou tolerateth.
O earth ! Lots of hardships sake life, do thou tolerateth.
O earth ! Infinite autonomous industry, thou surely art.
O earth ! Industrious father, thou surely art.
O earth ! Motherly mother, thou surely art.
O earth ! Praiseworthy thou art, thou surely art.
O earth ! I respect joined my hands unto thee.
Earth, doth it taketh thousands of years sake a fistful creation of thee.
Earth, the scarce art of thee.
Earth, dried up the earth, if thou stayth in an absentee.
Earth, green the world is only if thy presence be.
Earth, admirable thuou art, yeah, admirable of thee.
Earth, why don’t I prostrate unto thee ?
May I be known, O earth, how to touch of thee.
May I not just call, O earth, merely dust of thee.
May I not just address, O earth, merely mud of thee.
May I not just address, O earth, merely filth of thee.
Hey earth ! I wish I knew to respect the eternal truth of thee.
Hey earth ! I wish I knew to revere the eternal creation of thee.
Hey earth, I wish I knew to esteem the eternal fragrance of thee.
O earth, may I be known to decorate thee.
O earth, may I be known to make smile thee.
O earth, may I be known to persuade thee.
O earth, may I be known to love thee.
Doth I not, earth, remove to thee.
Abandoned by thee, doth I not wanna be.
I wish I knew to keep into mine heart unto thee.
Hey earth, hey ! I waanna hand over seeds towards thee.
Hey earth, hey ! I wanna hand over fertilizer towards thee.
Hey earth, hey ! I wanna hand over water towards thee.
Hey earth, hey ! I wanna hand overpriviledge toward thee.
O earth, rude towards thee, may never mine desire be.
O earth, prostrated towards thee, may I this be.
O earth, to protect towards thee, may I capable be.
O earth, to hug towards thee, may this wish come into me.
Earth, earth ! Let no pesticides fall upon thee.
Earth, earth ! Let no radiation fall upon thee.
Earth, earth ! Let no difficulty fall upon thee.
Earth, earth ! Let no coupe de grace fall upon thee.
O earth, give us grains, give lives unto creature.
O earth, may I live in the vicinity (proximity)of earth .
